The Mercer County Library System has many resources available to those with low vision. A librarian will be happy to assist you in finding the appropriate materials.
For those with low vision, the Hopewell Branch and Library System offers:
Large Print Books:
The Mercer County Library System has a large selection of both fiction and nonfiction titles in Large Print. The Hopewell Branch has recently increased its in-house collection with a generous donation from Pennington Quality Market and local artist David Biddle.
Books in Braille:
The Hopewell Branch has a collection of Braille books for adults and children.
Audiobooks:
The Mercer County Library System is constantly building its audiobook collections. These collections include books-on-tape, books-on-CD and Playaways (self-contained, portable audio devices).
Magnifiers:
The Hopewell Branch Circulation Desk has a variety of hand-held magnifiers available for public use. We also have a desktop video magnifier - an Optelec ClearView+ - for use in the branch.
