Financial Resources

For customers affected by the shutdown, you are eligible for flexible payment options to keep your service running.

Bank of America
Their Client Assistance Program is available to you for personalized financial assistance, tailored to your specific situation and needs.

Chase will automatically waive or refund overdraft and monthly service fees on Chase checking and savings accounts if an employee’s salary from an affected federal agency was direct-deposited into the account in November, 2018.

Hotels Association of New York City
Federal employees who need to travel to New York for an emergency can stay in a hotel for free.  

Navy Federal Credit Union
The credit union is offering assistance to Federal government employees and active duty members of the Coast Guard whose pay has been disrupted by the shutdown, and have an established direct deposit account. Navy Federal will also continue to accept registration for the program until three days after the scheduled pay day.

Provident Bank
The Bank will offer eligible customers financial assistance during the shutdown.

Lists assistance and extended grace period options for federal employees who need help paying their utility bills.

Rutgers University
Students that are federal employees or dependents of federal employees should contact the bursar's office to place a delay on payment plans to have late fees waived during the furlough.

Santander Bank Shutdown Assistance

Medical Expenses

Hackensack Meridian Health
Hackensack Meridian Health is pleased to announce that we will waive co-pays and deductibles for emergency visits at all of our network hospitals and urgent care centers for furloughed federal employees and their insured family members.

RWJBarnabas Health
Hospitals and care facilities in the system, including RWJBarnabas-Hamilton, are waiving co-pays and other fees for care.

Many cultural institutions are offering free or discounted admission for federal employees who show their ID card.  Area museums include Philadelphia Museum of Art, Franklin Institute, Jenkinson's Aquarium, The Metropolitan Opera (NY), and Museum of the American Revolution.

Federal employees and their families can get on hour of jumping Tuesday-Thursday at all SkyZones, including the Hamilton location.
