The Lawrence HQ Branch is proud to announce, starting in January, a new movie program featuring the best and most popular movies that Hollywood can produce. A recently acquired movie license grants us public viewing copyrights for most Hollywood movies. That means you, the patron, can enjoy the latest Hollywood films at the library for FREE on our new projector and sound system that will show the movies in a theatre like setting.

The Library is closed on Tuesday, January 1 in observance of New Year’s Day. The library will be open holiday hours, 9:30am to 5pm, on Monday, January 21.

Special Programs

Kids' MusicRound
Monday, January 14 at 10am and 11am. For ages up to 4 with a caregiver. Registration is required and starts December 26. Kids Music Round will give 2 free demo classes.

Concert with Junior Jam
Wednesday, January 16 at 10am in Rooms 1 & 2. For ages 2-6 with a caregiver. No registration required. Junior Jam, comprised of award winning songwriter Jeff Eisenberg and his singing partner, Elayne Kessler, entertain young children with their lively blend of catchy songs, creative props and engaging personalities. Please join us for a fun time!

Winnie the Pooh Story Time
Friday, January 18 at 10am in the children’s activity room. For ages 2-5 with a caregiver. Registration is required by January 16 with a limit of 20 children. Come celebrate author A.A. Milne’s birthday with stories and cupcake decorating.

Basketball @ Your Library
Tell us any children’s book you enjoyed and receive 2 tickets (per child) to the Princeton vs Harvard Basketball game on Saturday, February 2 at Jadwin Gymnasium. While supplies last. First come first served, in-person requests only

Friday, January 11 at 10am in Room 3. For ages 6 and under with a caregiver.

Mother-Daughter Knitting Craft
Saturday, January 12 from 2 to 3:30pm. Follow-up session Saturday, January 19 from 2 to 3:30pm. For girls ages 8 and older with their mothers. Registration is required starting December 26.

Sunday story-time and craft
Sunday, January 13 at 2pm in the children’s activity room. For ages 3-8 with a caregiver (siblings welcome).

Intermediate Knitting
For teens in grades 7-9. Participants should know how to cast on/off and do the knit stitch. Registration is required by January 10.

Sunday Snack Chat book club
For teens in grades 9-12.
Sunday, January 20 from 3-4pm.
