The Library
will be closed on Monday, September 6, for Labor Day.
Beginning on September 12, the Library will be open on
Sundays from 12:30 p.m. until 5 pm.
Welcome to
September at the library. Fall is here, time for starting
school, picking apples, and for visiting your library. We
are happy to welcome a new children’s librarian,
Dragana Drobnjak, to the youth
services department. Dragana will offer three brand new
programs: Family Storytime;
Weird Science;
and
D.I.Y. Art.
Don’t miss the
Indian Classical Music Demo
Class.
Magician Dennis Thomas will present the “Fun
For All Magic Show.”
Teens, be sure to enter the
Banned Books Week
Review/Raffle
(ages 13 & up). Complete a review about a book that has been
banned or challenged in the last three years (list available
at the Reference Desk from Saturday, September 25 through
Saturday, October 2). There will be a Random drawing of
three winners, prizes to be announced. See you at the
Library.

D.I.Y. Art (for ages
8 to 11)
Participants will be encouraged to explore an art medium of
choice to create an art piece. Emphasis will be placed on
the creative art process, not the final product.

This program is geared towards preschool science. Each
session will follow a theme, for which we will read stories,
observe experiments and create crafts.
