Where's the "My Account" Link?
The Mercer County Library's catalog was upgraded over the weekend of August 6 and the direct link to “My Account” no longer exists. There is now a script that brings up a dialog box on top of the catalog page itself.
You access this directly from the catalog, which you can still get to from our homepage by clicking this graphic in the upper left corner.
Or you can go directly to the catalog using this link.
At the top of the catalog page, just to the right of center, you will see links that say "Log In" and "My Account":
Clicking either “Log In” or “My Account” will bring up the login dialog box.
How To Search
Our new catalog uses technology that allows you to search the library collection in a manner that is very similar to searching the internet using Google. To begin, type some keywords into the box above and hit enter or click the Search button.
You can narrow your results by using the links to the right on the results page.
Keep in mind, titles that are short or use common words may require adding more keywords to your search. For example, if you are looking for the book Holes, it is suggested you add the author's name, so your search terms would be holes sachar.

Holds on On Order Items
We are aware of an issue with the new catalog that blocks the ability to place holds on items that are on order. We have fixed the issue on items that were ordered after May 5, but items ordered before that date are still blocked from accepting holds until they are physically received by the library. As a way around this issue, we have been given a temporary alternative search that will allow you to browse by title and place a hold on an on order item through this search. If you search for an item in the catalog and see a message that "there is no data to display" in place of the Branch copies, please use the following link to get to the alternative search screen.
Note: Mercer County Library does not yet allow Interlibrary Loan requests to be placed online. If you would like to request an Interlibrary Loan, you may do so in person, or you may call the Reference Desk at 609-989-6922.
